Story: 8/10 – Above Average

The story follows Kaneki Ken, your average, everyday adolescent who lives in a world where the supernatural overlaps with reality. He is indifferent to the existence of ghouls, creatures who survive off of feeding on humans, until after a series of events; he himself is turned into a ghoul. Thrust into this dark world of survival, Kaneki tries to live out his life as a half ghoul-half human hybrid whilst keeping his humanity in check. There to help him through his hardships are the staff of a café called “Anteiku”, whose members are ghouls like him who want to live quiet lives as normal members of society.
